How to Participate

For Canadian participants: In order to be eligible to participate in the "Your chance to win a trip for two to Switzerland!” contest, participants should visit www.avogel.ca and complete the puzzle to find out the hidden sentence. The participant must provide a valid email address and agree to the contest rules and regulations. All participants must be residents of Canada and over 18 years of age. No purchase is required for participation. Limit of one (1) entry in the contest per person, per household and per email address.
The draw ends on 31.12.2023, midnight. 

Description of Prizes

1. Grand prize: If a Canadian entry is selected, one memorable round-trip for two to Switzerland valued at approximately $7,500. The trip includes:

• 2 airline tickets
• 5-night 6-day for 2 people in a “Superior See” double room with a breath-taking view of Lake Constance
• Appenzell breakfast buffet with many local and regional products
• 1 x gourmet menu (4 courses) on arrival evening incl. house water
• Free use of our 1,000 m2 wellness area (also on the day of departure)
• a tour of the A.Vogel facilities in Roggwil TG and Teufen AR, including a medicinal plant show garden.

The winner is allowed to bring a guest over 18 years old of their choice. The winner and guest must travel together. Any additional costs incurred are the responsibility of the winner and their guest. The management of this contest is carried out exclusively by Verlag A.Vogel AG, Alte Haslenstrasse 5, CH-9053 Teufen AR. Travel to and from the hotel is arranged independently; travel costs will be covered by Verlag A.Vogel AG after prior arrangement.

The winner must agree that their name and photo be used for publicity relating to this contest and this without remuneration.
The prize must be accepted as awarded and described in the present rules and regulations. It is non-transferable and cannot be substituted for another prize nor exchanged in whole or in part for cash.

Distribution of Prizes

The name of the winner will be drawn at random from the print-outs of all the electronic coupons received by the contest deadline by Verlag A.Vogel AG. The odds of winning will depend on the number of participants. The winners will be informed personally at the beginning of 2024. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the contest. The legal process is excluded.

Verlag A.Vogel AG and Bioforce Canada Inc. assume no responsibility for entry coupons that are lost or received late, whatever the reason. Verlag A.Vogel AG and Bioforce Canada are not responsible for misdirected, illegible or deteriorated entries, nor for other related problems (failure of Internet server, internet access or internet connection). All entry coupons become the property of Verlag A.Vogel AG and will not be returned.

Date of beginning and end of the Contest

The contest begins May 15th, 2023 and ends December 23rd, 2023 at 11:59 pm.

Date of awarding of Prize

The draw will take place at Verlag A.Vogel AG, Alte Haslenstrasse 5, CH-9053 Teufen AR.

Right of Withdrawal:

This Consent within the meaning of Art. 31 Abs.1, Art.6 Abs.6 DSG; article 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with article 7 GDPR can be withdrawn in writing at any time, without stating the reasons for this. This notice of withdrawal is to be sent to the Controller by post (Verlag A.Vogel AG, Alte Haslenstrasse 5, CH-9053 Teufen AR, Switzerland) or by e-mail at: info@verlag-avogel.ch. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal shall remain unaffected by the withdrawal. If the consent is not withdrawn, it shall be deemed granted for an unlimited period of time. The consent is granted voluntarily. No disadvantages shall arise from the refusal to grant consent or from the withdrawal of consent.

The advertisement and all images associated with advertising this contest serve as a guideline only. By entering this contest, each winner binds and obliges themselves to abide to each and all of the terms and conditions of the present contest and moreover agrees to release, hold harmless and release Bioforce Canada and their respective affiliated companies, as well as their respective employees, representatives, mandatories, partners, and advertising and promotional agencies, from all and against all claims, actions, causes of action, liability, loss, damage, cost and expense whatsoever, paid, suffered or incurred, directly or indirectly, as a result of, in respect of or arising out of the participation to the present contest or the use of the prize awarded.
This contest is open only to persons aged 18 and over who are residents of Canada, with the exception of the employees, representatives and mandatories of Bioforce Canada Inc., their respective affiliated companies and partners, their advertising and/or promotion agencies, as well as any persons with whom such employees, representatives and mandatories reside, including members of their immediate families.
