On average, women reach menopause at the age of 51.
While there are over 34 symptoms that can affect a woman throughout her menopausal journey, some may experience all the symptoms while others may just experience a few of them in different combinations.
Menopause doesn't have to be a battle
While many women often use Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to help treat symptoms, there are alternative, natural remedies that are equally effective that have been around for ages.
Sage (Salvia officinalis) is most commonly known as a culinary herb however, it is also rich in essential oils that contribute to its medicinal function. Its estrogenic properties have been clinically proven to relieve the frequency and intensity of hot flashes and night sweats and to help regulate hormone imbalances after just a few weeks of use.
Sage is not known to work via estrogenic pathways and can be taken alongside HRT.
A.Vogel MenoForce
A.Vogel MenoForce offers specially dosed sage extract tablets. Each tablet contains 3400 mg of tincture of fresh sage (Salvia officinalis), organically grown. Packed with a punch, it only takes one tablet a day to help control hot flashes in women during menopause and even during perimenopause.
Source matters. Fresh is best.
In the first study of its kind, fresh sage was put to the test in order to understand the compounds that make it so effective for women suffering from hot flashes and other symptoms of menopause.
The researchers found that the fresh leaves had powerful effects on the receptors linked to the sweat glands (responsible for perspiration) and those playing a major role in regulating the temperature of the whole body.
The fresh sage leaves have been shown to be 2 to 3 times more active than the dried leaves, and also 2 to 4 times more potent than the fresh or dried stem of the plant.
Backed by science
Research has shown that MenoForce can significantly reduce the frequency and intensity of hot flashes. One tablet was administered daily to women 48 to 65 years who had been menopausal for at least one year and were experiencing more than 5 hot flashes per day. The results were remarkable:
- after 4 weeks, women noted a 50% decrease in the number of hot flashes and
- after 8 weeks, a 64% decrease.
Also, the researchers checked the intensity of hot flashes and noted a 55.3% reduction in the intensity of hot flashes among the women who took the product!
Another double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial went one step further. By analyzing the effects on neurotransmitters of menopausal women, researchers noted that sage extract helped relieve other menopausal symptoms such as sleep disturbance, anxiety, sexual problems, vaginal dryness and irritability.
Using the Menopause Rating Scale (MRS), women noted a 39.2% reduction in their menopausal symptoms. For some women, symptoms such as hot flashes, fatigue, sleep, and physical and mental exhaustion, were even cut in half.
Through the use of an EEG, researchers were able to assess the link between menopausal symptoms and rhythms of the brain as well as the effects of MenoForce versus placebo on participants. Those taking MenoForce demonstrated more normalized brain waves and improved cognitive function on tests of:
- reading
- reaction time
- concentration
- memory
Menopause should not be a burden.
